Pro evolution all the way. Fifa continues to play catch-up but realistic gameplay still seems as distant as ever.

PES 2009.same ole s*it……..What happened to building from the ground up? KOnami are a bunch of lazy ass*oles. Im going with FIFA 09 all the way. They finally nailed it in this version. The skills are unbeleivable and only skillful players can pull them off properly. The shots are true to life (they curl, rise, dip, etc) the aerial game is outstanding, the graphics are great, the licences crap all over pro evo’s…..whoever doesn’t choose FIFA 09 this year is being a childish fanboy…..

im guna buy both! y does every1 talk as if you got 2 buy 1 and not the other. yea pes has better game play but they have fake kits and fake names on some stuff fifa dont but they cant match pes gameplay just buy both!

i agree jack, ive bought my copy of fifa already, (it is their best offering by far, and it is deservedly good..) but i’m still buying pro evo soon as it comes out. fifa is cool for when you’re flying solo, but there’s nothing better than frustrating all your mates with the skills its taken you years to gather in a pes battle!

ARGH!!!!! I have decided after playing football games for years that it has come to a disappointing end! Both FIFA 09 and Pro Evo 09 are RUBBISH!!! With ever evolving technology, game reviews and better graphics, combined, I finally hoped one of the football games would have cracked it!

Artificial Intelligence is rubbish, making gameplay annoying on both.

FIFA is still hard to execute tricks well, has unrealistic morale effects, and the players can sometimes stand like they are waiting for a bus when they are meant to be running onto a through pass……… However the menu screens are much better than Pro, this is best played against the computer or you will go off it!

Pro Evo is generally shoddy workmanship with spelling mistakes in the menus, badly explained tables (i.e. expected earnings) and help menus, taking away the duty of the right analogue stick to replace it with a manual pass that probably nobody uses, idiotic goal keepers, boring ‘Be a Pro’ mode, limited sound track, restricting which players can do skills………..Although through balls and graphics have been made alot better, this is best played against your friends not the computer or you will end up breaking it!

Both games should be more customisable, like being able to set exactly which button does what, and the games still aren’t realistic as the computer attacks in spells it should be alot more unpredictable!

For me,pes as a whole is nothing if when compared to fifa.fifa’s flexibility in their players make a great difference.Apart from that, the graphics too make a great shift from pro.Above all, fifa is an official sponsor in football they have the rights to produce games. Unlike pro,i see it as illegal. If pro is competitive then,i will be glad to see fifa world cup 2010_SouthAfrica produced by pes corporatoin.

Was able to watch the last period of France and Uruguay match. It’s funny that the first two matches were tie. Wondering if there will be more tie matches??
