PES 2009 demo is on Xbox live
The Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 demo is now availible on Xbox live ready for download. The demo hit the marketplace at 7.30am and can be expected to be downloaded by a lot of users today.
The text accopianing the demo is :
“In PES 2009, linking up with your team-mates is the key. Watch for their moves as they make runs and call for the ball! It’s down to you to pick out the best option and end the attack with a great team goal! This demo can be played with upto 4 people.”
When the PES 2008 demo was released on the Xbox live Marketplace last year, the download speed was pretty slow becauase of the ammount of people downloading it at once. To avoid any disapointing delay, we suggest you start your download asap.
We’ll be giving you a full run down of the demo later on today!
Please give us your thoughts on the demo in the comments below!

i have just finished playing pro evo 2009, and im so sad to say that this game doesnt stand a chance in hell against Fifa 2009. I am a huge fan of both games, however i disliked both Fifa 08 and Pro Evo 08 and purchased neither, when i downloaded Fifa 09 it really did blow me away! and it still does! its fluidity, player animations and graphics are amazing. Pro 09 is extremely stiff and slow to play after playing the fifa 09 demo, the graphics are nothing to call home about and the shooting just seems to get worse and worse:-( if Konami carry on like this they can forget about competing against EA completely.
conditions of pitch make this game much slower than previous version, and hopefully the squads are updated before its full relase
I’ve been playing PES since the first one & have loved & cherished every single game up until now. in my opinion Konami have completely slapped me in the face by removing the skill stick, it’s a real joke! What are the reasons behind this pathetic decision? Apart from that the movement of players & ball physics are incredible but i wont be buying it this year due to the fact that i always enjoyed the skill side of the game which they have taken away so non PES players find it easier to master. Screw you guys im going home
I have to agree. I think FIFa has finally caught up with our beloved PES. The demo is sluggish, slow, and the controls feel heavy which is why I hated the whole FIFA franchise. The FIFA demo feels smooth, and I think the only thing that its missing is the satistaction when you put your foot through the ball when shooting like when you do in PES. I think Konami have thought too much about player animation this time round and seriously neglected the gameplay. My head says PES, but my wallet says FIFA, which I never thought Id say, sad times!
