PES 2010 Demo release date
Posted by William | Filed under News
The Lead Developer of the European versions of Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 have confirmed that a demo will shortly be released for the game, expected to be through Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.
“Not long to go now until we release a demo for everyone to test. You’ll get a chance to see the new PES for yourselves and make up your minds about how we’ve reflected what the what fans want.”
The Konami blog was posted on the 7th September 2009 and counting on last year I would expect the demo to be up mid to late September.

September 12th, 2009 at 8:43 amI played the FIFA 10 demo and I was very disappointed… Now I’m eagerly waiting for this PES 10 demo. I hope this game will kick some EA’s ass!
I also hope that updating the teams to match reality would be simple. I hate that only EA has ALL the licenses - that is just wrong! -

September 13th, 2009 at 3:03 pmPES were the best football games for years, but last year EA made a better game. I believe they’ve made a better game this year aswell. Hopefully they’ve changed alot since last years PES and then i might like it. PES 09 was a joke.

September 13th, 2009 at 6:32 pmI must admit I played the fifa 10 demo and they have improved the gameplay. I have played PES for ages, though I just think for a football game it is not realistic enough. Though that is just my opinion.

September 14th, 2009 at 9:17 amPlayed fifa 2010 demo. as a staunch ISS pro and pro evo fan I will admit - its good. However I still feel its lacks addiction like I didn’t keep wanting more. you can’t turn players like you can on PES (unless maybe I haven’t figured it out) I don’t care if fifa has better graphics I don’t care if fifa has all the licenses its all about the football and now with 360 movement in PES I think its going to bounce back - if they sort out their online as well.

September 14th, 2009 at 11:51 ampes was good till it came to xbox360 and ps3 they really need to have a complete overhual of the game hopefully they sorted it out cause fifa is so far ahead in everyway now. fifa10 demo is amazing the slick passing moves u can do and all its real football sim, pes seems more arcade and gets boring quick theres no atmosphere in the game its pretty easy to score and win and online play in socking

September 15th, 2009 at 2:00 ami have been playing pes/iss since n64 pro 09 and 08 was pretty much the last straw there were terrible i have more fun playing the fifa 10 and 9 demo than the whole pro evo games! master league has been the same for 5 years and so has tackling, slide tackles, shooting and headering it never changes, where as fifa they ajust their body to get the ball and its not like pro where you just pass to a ibrahimovich or a eto or ronaldo and run then score YOU HAVE TO PLAY FOOTBALL!!
-
Mac Says:
September 15th, 2009 at 10:54 amI’ve played the fifa demo , it sucks! Its just to easy to score and pass. Pes is the only real football game. It will kick Fifa’s ass this year like never before. Fifa feels like playing with wooden puppets and has no life. Thats my thought

matt Says:
September 15th, 2009 at 1:09 pmfor those pro evo fans out there, if you played the FIFA 10 demo then you see you lack loyalty to Pro because you downloaded a game by your arch nemesis, i been a FIFA fan ever since i could play the game and have stuck by it in hard times, but after last year FIFA ruled the world pro was no where and some say that konamai could gone out of business, and after playing the FIFA 10 demo get ready for another white wash

September 16th, 2009 at 10:07 amlets not forget that fifa would not be what it is today without pro. they stole the whole much engine and threw money at it. you would still probably be hitting circle for top corner every time. Im glad pro took the 360 movement from them good on them. next up the licenses.

September 16th, 2009 at 10:32 ami must admit i,ve never downloaded a fifa demo before , played pes and iss for donkeys years until pes09 , thats was the worst ever release for konami and pes08 wasnt much better so i donwloaded fifa10 demo last week and was scarely a decent footy game this year it looks ! i agree with jays post above ^ fifa has stolen alot of the playability from pes over the years and even the power bar passing and shooting has been stolen by EA , but i dont doubt after following the progression and reading every article from all the companys thats played pes10 demo already and the new masterleague system in place with total new gameplay overhaul !! pes10 should and i do hope they do come out on top this year ! GO PES10

September 17th, 2009 at 9:29 amI played fifa from’96, but switched to PES the last years, till PES09 came out which sucked big time! So I played fifa09 for a year which was good, I’ve played the fifa10 demo and it looks great and feels ok, but the thing with fifa is it’s almost inpossible to go one-on-one! So I keep my vingers crossed for PES10 and hope it will be again the best footie!!!

Rab Nebula Says:
September 21st, 2009 at 3:55 amYou cant say anything about PES players brains when you spell “which” like the spell casting potion brewing hag “witch” from stories or spell the word better “BETTA”
Dont be so narrow minded. Maybe you should play football and then play FIFA and then decide just how good a football game FIFA isn’t. PES 2009 was terrible and Ive seen OAP teams move more freely than the players on that game, 2008 was average. Prior to those games Fifa had been slacking way behind. PES 2010 though is easily the closest you will get to the real sport with out getting a bit muddy.

September 21st, 2009 at 4:08 amJust for the record, Im not some PES fanboy. I actually grew up with FIFA since 1994 and also This Is Football on the Playstation. I didnt start playing PES until PES 4 and 5 and still had FIFA even last year but lately (including the FIFA 10 demo) it seems so primary school press the button and it goes in so you win 7-0 all the time. FIFA just seems too generic and unreal.

September 22nd, 2009 at 1:18 amI have played both demos and the fact is that FIFA is a way better football game. I’ve loved PES for a long time and am so dissapointed at what they have produced on next gen consoles. FIFA 10 is definitely the bets football game ever made, PES 2010 is no way near it, it is so slow and lethargic and so unrealistic, sorry Konami but you have been taken up the ass by EA again!!!!

brendy_69 Says:
September 22nd, 2009 at 10:25 am@ Chininhho9
Fifa 2010 is a terrible game. The fact that it is basically the 2009 version is poor from EA’s perspective. The gameplay is useless, the inability to run past players (without the use of a ‘trick stick’) is shambolic. You basically have to pass your way to goal, plus what is wih the shooting from outside the box?!? EA has taken itself up the ass. PES > Fifa.

Rab Nebula Says:
September 22nd, 2009 at 12:29 pmI think a lot of people are very skeptical about this new Pro on the basis of the previous incarnations on the 360 which admittedly have been awful. They really felt like Konami were just putting out because they had to and not because they cared.
Konami though knew the old engine was coming to an end and last year seems to have been the last in a slow transition. So they have been working on this version for a few years now to build a base of new engines and graphics which they can improve on over time. They basically rebuilt the game from the ground upwards and listened to a lot of the things the community have said about where the series needs to go in order to get back up to the top. They have addressed a lot of these issues and from the looks of the online play they have put a lot of work in to creating a base with the potential for a large community. There are all sorts of online tournaments you can host as well is individual games.
You get the feeling that this game is just the beginning of a new chapter in the history of PES vs FIFA. 2009 looked like PES was wilting but Konami have proven this year theyre not going to give up without a fight.

September 23rd, 2009 at 3:41 pmI can tell you now, that I am a Pro evo fan but Ive played both demo’s and fifa 10 is a lot better. The pro evo 10 demo is painfully slow paced and lacks fast passing etc, the dribbling has been ruined compared to the previous evo’s, im very disappointed and will be buying fifa 10 this time round because though it looks worse, and the shooting doesn’t feel as good, the gameplay and physics are better a lot more fast paced.
-
Rab Nebula Says:
September 24th, 2009 at 3:50 amThe passing on Pro isnt something you can pick up straight away. It takes practice and eventually you will find a tactical style which will help you get the fluid passing you are looking for. I’ve been a FIFA nut for years but in all honesty the passing takes literally no skill or tactical awareness. The only time it ever goes wrong is if the referee gets in the way which seems to happen far too much. In all honesty the ball physics on FIFA really arent anything the game can brag about as the ball moves nothing like in real life. If youre going for easy to pick up pace then maybe FIFA is your thing but once you get your movements and tactics down on PES you will be moving at just as good a speed. Its just PES takes some skill and planning in its moves which will only come with practice.
-
sudsta Says:
September 24th, 2009 at 3:21 pmRab Nebula, I disagree, Pro evo made its bones being a dribbling skillful football game that didn’t souly rely on passing, infact the passing is indeed very slow, slower then ever on the demo, Im disappointed 10 fold, now I don’t know whether its the better graphical engine, that has fucked up the frames in the game hence slowing the games overall gameplay, but whatever it is, its the worse evo to date going by the demo.
-
Rab Nebula Says:
September 24th, 2009 at 5:18 pmPro Evo still has some really good dribbling movement but I have played the demo for a few hours now and the more I play it the more tricks and tactics I find. Football in real life doesnt always have the most fluid passing and neither does Pro but it really is down to your decisions and movement which effect the fluidity of the play. I find making the players run ahead of the man in possesion really helps for fluidity. The tactics really need to be fully experimented with along side the various ways to pass the ball. A lot of this game is about decisions you make rather and mashing A to get yourself out of trouble. Having played FIFA for so long I found it really doesnt take much planning and accuracy to keep posession. Last years Pro was terrible and so was 2008 which is why stuck by FIFA the game I grew up with but this year is the same as last year. Its just feels like the computer is doing most of the work for you and it feels lifeless. PES takes timing, precision and tactical awareness into account and when a pass doesnt work out with the flick stick pass or any other then its down to you. The ball only goes where you tell it and the player wont create a perfect pass with his back turned or sprinting at full pace as he wouldnt in real life. FIFA every pass seems the same and no pass dribbles off because it locks into a player. Real life doesnt lock in and neither does pro. Thats part of why I am turning away from FIFA for the 1st time.

September 26th, 2009 at 12:17 pmdoes anyone know if fifa 10 is really any good, honestly.

SSJ Overlord Says:
September 30th, 2009 at 12:37 pmi honestly think PES 2010 wins, dont worry, im not saying fifa sucks because it doesnt and its a playable game, but pes 2010 is just a more realistic game, the graphics and the game play are a lot more realistic and ive played the demo, looks great, cant wait for it, but u also played fifa 10 demo and it was exactly the same as 09 so pes 2010 wins but fifa still is good not the best though.

October 1st, 2009 at 11:12 amPes has never hit the heights it did on the ps2,the transition to the 360 and ps3 have been terrible, and while Konami and seabass have been sitting on their hands fifa have been winning the battle for hearts and minds, the master league (which has always been the key for me) has not altered at all in god knows how many years and as for the gameply, its horrible, pes 09 was the final nail in the coffin for me it was clunky and not at all fluid,as a true pes fan we all agree its not the fancy licences of slick commentating or any of that cosmetic crap its the gameplay that sold it to us its the 89 minutes of tactical possesion football sprinkled with one touch of class that has you punching thin air when no one else is in the room and feeling damn fine watching the replay, but alas for me the love affair is being put on hold, this year anyway and im going over to the dark side, fifa 2010 is what im going for and for the first time in years im actually excited about a football game,so hurry up Seabass sort this mess out or there will be alot more like me

Fifa 10 is the same as 09 with slightly different menus and the ability to set up dead balls in the free roam arena. Its actual game play is dull and lifeless and I have acidentally sneezed better games into a tissue and thrown them away. I have always been FIFA but this year PES have released a much better version than ever. Its fast, nice graphics, stripped down menus, better physics and more realistic than FIFA. Konami know this is their last chance of hanging on to their fans or converting people like me and have come out with something really special. They have rebooted the master league, the online servers will be a lot better than ever before as theyre now with microsoft and sony as opposed to konamis own. Plus who would have thought it? PES actually has the better graphics this year. FIFA is dull and lifeless and easy as it is for me to click subm

your totally right, i agree with all your points there fifa 09 is the same as fifa 10 really…..and pes 2010 is way better!
for anyone that already has fifa 09 dont waste your money getting fifa 10 because its the same, but pes 2010 is really worth getting.

October 14th, 2009 at 4:52 pm>> I was a staunch PES man for years, far superior than the older FIFA’s. But Im afraid to say Im a changed man. FIFA was far superior last year, and having played, ok I own FIFA10, its gonna take a lot for PES tom beat it this year. Peeps cant judge a game on a demo, in my opinion any way. I read a lot of the reviews on here, and expect some of them to be seen through PES tinted glasses, but people who are saying FIFA is garbage after only playing a demo have no grounds to say its bad. If PES10 is better than last year, then its a step in the right direction, but FIFA still king until Im proven other-wise.
-
Rab Nebula Says:
October 20th, 2009 at 2:56 amThankyou SSJ. Somebody who finally agrees. Berrt30 though I want to clear up that I grew up with FIFA since 1994 and around the time of PES 4 I started playing the PES series a little bit but not as much as FIFA. I have played the full FIFA and the gameplay is soft, very generic and easy to play which was ok when I was growing up. But as far as realism goes PES wins out. PES demo was a 70% build which had better graphics and physics than the full version of FIFA. The menus on FIFA have also grown to be over complicated and can be frustrating to navigate when you just want a game with friends. Growing up with FIFA I have had FIFA goggles for many years as opposed to these “PES tinted glasses.” so I can assure you that not all peoples views on here are PES fan boys.
