Skipping matches in PES 2010 Master League
Posted by William | Filed under News
Confirmed: In a season of PES 2010 Master League, you will be able to skip matches that you’d rather not play. Skipping a match allows you to concentrate purely on the managerial part of selecting a team, as well as being able to get through a season quite quickly.
For me this is a brilliant addition; there has been loads of occasions where I’ve put the game on 5min match, and selected ‘Coach mode’ while I go do something else, especially when the match is not a particular important or challenging on.
This feature was confirmed by Konami developer Jon Murphy on the official Konami blog.
What are your thoughts on this new feature?

August 2nd, 2009 at 7:18 pmsounds like a good addition, offers more choice and maybe good to use for those end of season games where you have already won the title and you just want to get round to preparing for the next campaign

August 7th, 2009 at 2:17 pm@4 How do you work that out “Not a true player”
If there is a match that doesn’t bare any importance you should be able to skip it. I just think you are a fool. -
Gerrd Says:
August 7th, 2009 at 9:02 pmI agree with nathan. I know alot of players who get frustrated with playing insignificant matches.
albi smith you are indeed a fool. -

August 12th, 2009 at 10:45 pmI agree with albi what is the point in skipping matches? You buy a footy game to actually play football not to skip matches..

August 14th, 2009 at 12:36 pmi agree with albi, although i wouldn’t put it in the way he did…
if you are champion and still have a few games to go, it is still your duty to finish the other games…
ofcourse you might decide to do so with a lesser team…
look at Barca over the last season…as soon as the la liga title was save…the benchwarmers got their chance…
so the best thing to do, in my opinion, is to play those games and let your younger players get some much needed experience…
for example if you have pirlo, hamsik and huddlestone for the DMF position, give hamsik and huddlestone the preference in the final games…
besides, if all you want to do is coaching, there’s always football manager … -

August 29th, 2009 at 9:21 amBrilliant addition. I very much like this, because there were plenty of occasions where I do not really want to play a match against a low ranked team, especially when facing a tough opponent after that. If I field my b-squad I care not if they win or lose, I just want to move on. Now we can. Great!
Now I will cross my fingers for more realistic injuries so that players will be out more often, increasing the challenge of the management part of the ML campaign.

October 30th, 2009 at 8:34 amHi, be aware that if you search some players by the name you may not find them. Some names are spelled differently and have punctuation signs. Run a partial search or search by nationality, this is your best bet. Also be aware you will not be able to purchase some quality players that easily, negotiations will break down if you try to buy Ribery and draft him into your team. It is like in real life. Ask your scout to gauge the level of interest, go to the negotiations pane and clik on the player’s name to check his the scout report.

Proevo Says:
October 31st, 2009 at 6:03 pmRibery won’t be in the ML unless you draft him to a team before you start. All german based players are not in the game, but some can be found in their national squads.

Andy Says:
November 2nd, 2009 at 10:14 amThere are times that I have wanted just to round off the last few games of the season nice and quickly, but I’d never skip a game… just seems completely wrong as part of the Master League.
Every year, once I have won the treble, thats when the challenges really start: Winning every game; Scoring 5+ goals a game; Scoring 200 goals; Conceding < 10 goals, etc, etc.
You cant achieve those things by skipping games! And if you dont start with the Original Master League players you are cheating anyway!!! Guiterrezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

November 12th, 2009 at 12:13 amTo Andy, you sound like a sado, also you are noy cheating by using the real squad of a team and not the original master league players. also sounds like you need a life. My final ting is a comment to everyone about skipping matches, i think it i a good addition and to the ones who moan about it and dont support it then here is my answer, if you do not like it then do not skipp the matches, you do not have to and also stop moaning about it

I agree, starting with the original team is the best but really do whatever the fark u want. It makes no difference.

December 1st, 2009 at 12:52 amhey guys just read all your comments and for anyone who doesnt know players in pro 2001 who are in their national team but their club team are not actually in the game for example ribery, demichelis are both bayern munich players but obviously bayern aint in the game, they will come through your youth squad or any other team in the master leagues youth squad. give it a few seasons then search for them ribery came through man utd’s youth team in mine i was wondering the same thing when i first started the master league then a couple of seasons later i played man utd and ribery was in their team. i checked their squad and it said he came through the youth team so eventually you will be able to sign him btw if anyone comes across a goalkeeper in their youth team called Mutadoleh i recommend you sign this guy he came thought my youth team and his keeper skills were at 91 and he was 16 years old he is now at level 96 please take my advice and buy this guy he is a beast lol

January 7th, 2010 at 11:52 pmi agree with the 14 year-old..alot of you just fancy diggin at people, without reason..seriously, you actually need to grow up!
its not that he needs a life..you cant say that, live and let live.
i never skip matches..i can understand why people do, but i don’t..ml is all about building a long term project!!skipping matches is just winning and getting it over with..not carefully planning.forgetting whether each of us skip the matches or not..it is a good addition, why did give us more options?
things must be changed tho..always shooting to the same end in the 1st half if you home or away etc..few others but i could be here all day!
anyway, its a footy game..so just play it and enjoy it! -
